1. Some practical information about the INEOS's jetty. Attached are the camera images from the INEOS's jetty. Some practical information (see images):

  • The maximum tidal range (low tide vs. high tide) in the river? 6m (normally 4,5m)
  • Maximum vessel’s length and breadth in the INEOS’s jetty? Length: Northjetty Seaside – 160 meter / landside 110 meter; Southjetty Seaside – 120 meter / landside 110 meter;
  • Minimum lengths are decided on berthing position on poles.
  • Maximum/minimum vessel’s depth and draft in the INEOS’s jetty? Draft: Northjetty Seaside – 7,00 meter / landside 3,60 meter
  • South jetty Seaside – 6,30 meter / landside 4,20 meter

2. Did you know that since 2000 there were 4 incidents with the INEOS jetty in the Scheldt river?

  • 2019-12-09 Collision ship adrift from doorway dock (damage north gangway and bollard) (vessel APL Mexico City)
  • 2004-09-12 Collision ship north gangway (bollard and gangway damaged) (vessel Thrasos)
  • 2004-01-26 Collision ship north jetty (mooring pole north damaged)
  • 2000-06-28 Collision centre platform (considerable damage to jetty and pipelines , jetty out of service for long period)



3.AIS data

For the participants of the challenge we have prepared 2 datasets: one for a usual day and one for a day when an incident happened. To be able to share these data we would like to ask you to sign an NDA. You can request these datasets by sending your request to svetlana.samsonova@portofantwerp.com
